Installation Day
Installations are always exciting. Some installations may involve an entire room full of furnishings & accessories. In this case, following the completion of new windows and paint, we were installing the draperies. For this young family, the the entry, living room & dining room are being designed in phases, around their fine formal dining room furniture. The draperies are meant to soften the space, add a pop of color, but not be to full or fussy. I think we did just that! (click on photo to enlarge)
- Kim stages the installation by sorting the parts on the floor first
- After careful measuring, the hardware is installed
- The antique gold leaf painted rings, brackets and finials
- Each panel is meticulously hung and arranged
- The Euro Pleats are piched at the top, rather than at the bottom of the pleat
- Two done, four to go
- The color of the soft strie silk in the living room is repeated on the wall behind the bookcase
